PARVOVIRUS AND CORONAVIRUS
These two viral diseases didn't show up in the United States until the
late 70's. Every dog in the country, no matter where you live, should
be vaccinated for both of these diseases. There is no excuse for
doing otherwise and it doesn't make a difference if they never leave
your house. These two infections affect dogs of all ages, but they
are particularly devastating to puppies. The viruses persist in the
kennel area, soil or anywhere else for at least 6 months and probably
for 2-3 years. You can easily track the organisms home on your shoes
or equipment. The only reasons that we have not lost more animals to
these diseases is that excellent vaccines are now readily available.
The principle signs are diarrhea and vomiting and the two diseases can
only be differentiated by virus isolation or histopathology (which are
only done at universities or state health labs.) Death is more
frequent with parvo, but in the young of very old, either disease can
be a killer. We recommend vaccinating for both of these diseases
every six months.
#2317
Duramune KF-11 Parvo Vaccine 20.99 {see also First Dose}
By Fort Dodge. This modified live, parvovirus product was released in
December of 1989 and was the first significant improvement in
protection against this disease in several years. We have seen no
vaccine reactions or cases of parvo in vaccinated dogs. This is an
excellent and much needed product. Given subcutaneously or
intramuscularly. Puppies can be vaccinated as early as 5 weeks of
age. Revaccinate every 2 weeks until 15 weeks of age, and then yearly
boosters.
Size: 10 dose vial

VACCINE SHIPMENTS
All of our vaccines are manufacture to withstand proper shipping and
handling. We suggest having all vaccines sent by our special air
service.
We pack all vaccines with a wrapped, chemical ice pack. This pack is
then surrounded by an insulating material, and placed inside an
insulated box. We have experimented with various styrofoam coolers,
as well as other packing material, and have found our method to be the
absolute best. The layers of material and air make a superior
package.
In addition to our excellent packaging, modern vaccines contain an
antibiotic to help prevent bacterial growth during transport, even in
very hot temperatures.
We now supply over 1000 veterinarians and universities in the United
States, and we ship their vaccines under identical packaging as yours!
